Who I am, and what I collect

Who I am

SNDR is a freelance email marketing business registered in the UK. The data controller is the person doing the work. You can reach me at hello@sndr.limited.

What I collect

  • Contact information. Your name, email address, phone number and business name, when you fill in a form on this site, request the free audit or subscribe to anything.
  • Communication records. The content of emails, messages and enquiries you send me.
  • Technical data. IP address, browser type, operating system, referring URL and pages visited, collected through cookies and analytics.
  • Usage data. How this site gets used, including time on page and navigation paths.

How I use it, and on what legal basis

_□×

What it is used for

  • Replying to your enquiry and delivering the work
  • Sending you email, only where you have asked for it
  • Improving this site
  • Meeting legal obligations

Legal basis under UK GDPR

  • Consent, where you have clearly agreed to a specific thing, such as receiving email from me.
  • Contractual necessity, where I need the data to do work you have asked for, or to get to that point.
  • Legitimate interests, where processing serves a reasonable business interest and does not override your rights.
  • Legal obligation, where the law requires it.

Storage, processors and retention

How it is stored

Appropriate technical and organisational measures are in place to protect your data against unauthorised access, alteration, disclosure or destruction. That includes encrypted connections and access controls.

Third parties who process data for me

  • Email platforms, including Klaviyo, Mailchimp, Omnisend, ActiveCampaign, Squarespace Email, GetResponse and Brevo. These are used to run client email programmes and may process subscriber data.
  • Website hosting, which stores and serves this site.
  • Analytics, which collects anonymised usage data about visitors.
  • Communication tools used to manage enquiries and bookings.

All processors are required to handle data in line with applicable data protection law. Where data moves outside the UK, appropriate safeguards apply.

How long it is kept

  • Enquiries and contact data: up to 2 years after our last exchange, unless a longer period is legally or contractually required.
  • Subscribers: until you unsubscribe or ask for deletion.
  • Analytics: in line with the default retention setting, typically 14 months.
  • Client project data: for as long as we work together, and up to 6 years afterwards for legal and accounting reasons.

Your rights

_□×

Under UK GDPR you have the right to: access a copy of what I hold about you, have inaccurate data corrected, ask for erasure in certain circumstances, restrict how your data is used, receive your data in a portable format, object to processing based on legitimate interests or to direct marketing, and withdraw consent at any time where consent is the basis.

To use any of those, email hello@sndr.limited. I will respond within one month.

If you want to complain

If you are unhappy with how I have handled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk, or on 0303 123 1113.
