Email marketing in Newcastle

I work with Newcastle shops and ecommerce brands remotely and monthly, inside your own email platform. This page covers what matters for a North East list: loyal local buyers, a strong gifting market and a calendar with its own events.

Everything runs remotely, by email and the occasional video call. There is no Newcastle office and I do not hold in-person meetings.

Working with a freelance email marketer in Newcastle

Newcastle and the wider North East have a strong local identity, and plenty of independent shops sell on exactly that: prints, clothing, food and gifts that mean something to people from the region. Many of those buyers now live elsewhere and buy online.

That makes the list more valuable. People who moved away and still want something from home are exactly who a well-run email programme keeps in touch with, and one freelancer can run it for less than an agency retainer.

What is different about a Newcastle ecommerce list

Three things, in practice.

The list is wider than the region

Expect a good share of subscribers outside the North East. Segment by postcode where it matters, so local events go to local people and everyone else gets the products and the stories.

Gifting drives most of the year

Christmas, Father’s Day and birthdays account for a lot of orders for regional brands. A birthday flow and well-timed gifting campaigns usually earn more than a steady weekly newsletter.

Events move specific products

The Great North Run in September and the football calendar lift certain lines. Plan them into the calendar rather than improvising the week before.

January is slow, which makes it a good month for fixing flows and cleaning the list. Mother’s Day and Father’s Day are strong for gifting brands, and both depend on clear delivery dates.

September brings the restart after summer. Black Friday is a choice, not a requirement. Christmas cut-offs matter even more for customers who live far away, so send the last-order email early and send it twice.

None of that needs a bespoke strategy. It needs a calendar agreed in advance, so nothing is written in a panic.

How the monthly work runs, wherever you are

The arrangement is the same for a Newcastle brand as for one anywhere else. Everything runs remotely, by email and the occasional video call. There is no Newcastle office and I do not hold in-person meetings, which is part of why the price is what it is.

I work inside your existing email platform. Campaigns get written and sent, the flows your plan covers get built and looked after, list health gets checked, and you get one page of numbers every 30 days. The pricing page has the numbers, and getting started sets out the first month week by week.

What the first ninety days looks like

Month one: fix and build

Deliverability and list hygiene first, then the first flows your plan covers, usually welcome and abandoned cart. Nothing new gets sent into a broken account.

Month two: rhythm

Campaigns on an agreed calendar, drafted a fortnight ahead, in a template built for a phone. Further flows go in behind them if your plan includes them.

Month three: segment and refine

By now there is enough data to split the list properly and improve individual emails on their own numbers rather than guesses. The services page covers the ongoing shape of it.

Newcastle email marketing FAQs

Do you meet clients in Newcastle?

No. Everything runs remotely, by email and, when it helps, a video call. You are never waiting for a meeting to get an answer.

Can you write for customers who have moved away?

Yes. That is usually a segment of its own, with more emphasis on gifting and delivery dates.

Do you reply to my customers?

No. Replies from your customers land in your inbox and stay yours to answer. I answer your questions about the email work.

What do you need to get started?
