Mailchimp, used to its limits.

The platform most shops already have. Customer journeys, tags and classic automations are enough to run a serious programme, as long as somebody sets them up properly.

Overview

_□×

Mailchimp is where most small shops start, and there is usually no good reason to leave. The builder is friendly, the templates render reliably, and the journey tool covers the flows that earn the most.

The catch is that it is a general-purpose tool. Ecommerce data is available but not native the way it is in Klaviyo, so segmentation takes more setting up and revenue reporting depends on the store integration being wired correctly. That is a job, not a blocker.

What it is best for

_□×

Shops with a modest list, a straightforward range, and no appetite for a migration. Service businesses, hospitality and retailers who send a regular newsletter plus a handful of campaigns a month.

It gets expensive per contact at scale, and it counts contacts you cannot email, which catches people out.

What it costs

_□×

Mailchimp prices by contact count and tier, with sending limits attached to each. Note that it has historically counted unsubscribed and non-marketing contacts towards your total, so cleaning the audience is often the fastest saving available.

Platform fees are yours and paid direct, never marked up through me. Rates move, so check the platform for current pricing before you budget on it.

How I help on Mailchimp

_□×

Everything on the services list, built inside Mailchimp. Flow architecture first: welcome, abandoned cart, browse abandonment, post-purchase and winback. Then campaigns, segmentation and monthly reporting.

Setup work usually means fixing the store connection so revenue is attributed, rebuilding tags into segments that mean something, and replacing whatever classic automation is half-running with a journey that branches.
