Email campaigns that actually get read.

I plan, write, design and schedule the sends. You approve the copy. Everything else, including the subject line, the segment and the send time, is handled.

What a campaign is

_□×

One email to a list or a segment, sent once, with a reason behind it. A launch, a restock, a seasonal offer, a booking push, or something worth telling people that has nothing to sell in it at all.

Every campaign is built around a single goal. I match the content, the tone and the timing to where the customer actually is in their relationship with your shop, which is usually further back than the brief assumes.

Most small shops have a list. Very few use it consistently. A well-written email sent to 300 engaged subscribers beats a poor one sent to 3,000, every time.

How it works

_□×

I start with your shop, your customers and what you want the next quarter to do. From there I build a send calendar and agree a rhythm, normally two to eight sends a month depending on the plan and how much you actually have to say.

Drafts come to you a fortnight ahead, so you are never approving on the day of a send. Two rounds of changes on each. After it goes out, what happened feeds the next one.

What is included

_□×
  • Campaign planning and a send calendar
  • Copy written in your voice, from a short brief
  • Template design that matches your shop
  • Subject line and preview text, tested where volume allows
  • Segmentation, proofing, test send and scheduling
  • A performance note after each send, in plain English

Segmentation changes the result more than anything else on that list. The same email sent to the right third of a list usually earns more than sending it to everyone, and costs fewer unsubscribes doing it.

Who this is for

_□×

Independent shops that want to email their customers consistently and do not have the time or the appetite to do it properly in-house. Retailers, makers, hospitality, service businesses, gyms, salons and ecommerce brands of any size.

You do not need a big list. You need the right message going to the right people at a time that makes sense. If your list is small, the list growth work runs alongside this.

Questions people ask

_□×

How many campaigns do I get a month?

Between two and eight depending on the plan. See pricing for what sits where. If you need more than eight, it gets scoped on its own.

Do I need to write anything?

No. You fill in a short brief at the start of the month and review the draft before it goes out.

Can you use my existing template?

Yes. If you have a template that works, I build into it. If it needs rebuilding, that is part of the template work.

Which platforms do you build in?

Twelve of them, including Klaviyo, Mailchimp, Omnisend, ActiveCampaign, GetResponse and Squarespace Email. The full list is on platforms.

What is the difference between this and a newsletter?

A campaign has a job: sell the thing, fill the diary, clear the stock. A newsletter keeps the list warm between those. Most shops need both.
