Email marketing in Nottingham

I work with Nottingham shops and ecommerce brands remotely and monthly, inside your own email platform. This page covers what to plan around for a Nottingham list, from the student cycle to a busy autumn.

Everything runs remotely, by email and the occasional video call. There is no Nottingham office and I do not hold in-person meetings.

Working with a freelance email marketer in Nottingham

Nottingham has a lively independent scene around Hockley and the Lace Market, and a lot of beauty, fashion and gift brands selling online from the city. Two universities keep the population young and the buying habits seasonal.

Those brands often have a decent list and no time to email it properly. A freelancer on a monthly plan writes and sends the campaigns, looks after the automations your plan covers, and reports on what earned.

What is different about a Nottingham ecommerce list

Three things, in practice.

Beauty has a natural reorder window

Products run out, and customers can be reminded when. A replenishment flow timed to how long a product actually lasts often earns more than another campaign.

Students come and go

September brings a wave of new subscribers and summer brings a dip. Expect it, suppress the addresses that go quiet, and do not judge the list on a July open rate.

Autumn is crowded

Goose Fair in early October, Halloween, Bonfire Night, Black Friday and Christmas all land close together. A calendar planned in August stops every email being written the day before.

January suits restock and reorder emails more than discounts. Valentine’s Day and Mother’s Day are strong for gifting and beauty, and gift sets sell best when the email states the delivery cut-off plainly.

Summer is quieter, which makes it the right time to rebuild templates and flows before the autumn rush.

None of that needs a bespoke strategy. It needs a calendar agreed in advance, so nothing is written in a panic.

How the monthly work runs, wherever you are

The arrangement is the same for a Nottingham brand as for one anywhere else. Everything runs remotely, by email and the occasional video call. There is no Nottingham office and I do not hold in-person meetings, which is part of why the price is what it is.

I work inside your existing email platform. Campaigns get written and sent, the flows your plan covers get built and looked after, list health gets checked, and you get one page of numbers every 30 days. The pricing page has the numbers, and getting started sets out the first month week by week.

What the first ninety days looks like

Month one: fix and build

Deliverability and list hygiene first, then the first flows your plan covers, usually welcome and abandoned cart. Nothing new gets sent into a broken account.

Month two: rhythm

Campaigns on an agreed calendar, drafted a fortnight ahead, in a template built for a phone. Further flows go in behind them if your plan includes them.

Month three: segment and refine

By now there is enough data to split the list properly and improve individual emails on their own numbers rather than guesses. The services page covers the ongoing shape of it.

Which platform suits a small beauty brand?

It depends on your shop platform and list size. Klaviyo and Omnisend are common choices for Shopify beauty brands. The platform finder suggests three based on how you work.

No. Replies from your customers land in your inbox and stay yours to answer. I answer your questions about the email work.

What do you need to get started?
